Marshall's obituary stated that he was a highly esteemed gentleman and that he died at his home near Bloxom, Monday, aged 70 years. He was a member of the Bethel Bapt Ch near Bloxom. He was survived by his wife, Julia A. Marshall; two daughters, Mrs. E.H. Hughes of Bloxom and Mrs. Wesley Dryden of Pocomoke, MD; one son, Mr. Dewey Marshall of Hallwood; a sister, Mrs. Arinthia Small of Pocomoke; and a brother, Mr. Kendall Marshall of New Church.

Arinthia Jackson Marshall⁽¹⁸⁹⁾ was born in Mearsville, Acc Co, VA 30 Jul 1867.⁽¹⁹⁰⁾ Arinthia died 21 Apr 1954 in Pocomoke City, Worcester Co, MD, at 86 years of age.⁽¹⁹¹⁾ Her body was interred in Hall's Hill Cem, Pocomoke City, Worcester Co, MD.⁽¹⁹²⁾ She married James Selby 'Tobe' Small 29 Dec 1889 in Accomack Co, VA.(193) James was born 7 Nov 1868 in Mearsville, Acc Co, VA.⁽¹⁹⁴⁾ James⁽¹⁹⁵⁾ was the son of Marcellus Small and Sarah Robinson 'Sally' Wessells. James died 19 Jan 1946 in Pocomoke City, Worcester Co, MD, at 77 years of age.⁽¹⁹⁶⁾ His body was interred in Hall's Hill Cem, Pocomoke City, Worcester Co, MD.⁽¹⁹⁷⁾ James was employed. Conflicting evidence states that James was born 7 Nov 1867.⁽¹⁹⁸⁾

27 iv. Mary Marshall⁽¹⁹⁹⁾ was born in Accomack Co, VA circa 1869.⁽²⁰⁰⁾ Mary died before 1880.⁽²⁰¹⁾

28 v. Alfred K. Marshall⁽²⁰²⁾ was born in Mearsville, Acc Co, VA 25 Oct 1871.⁽²⁰³⁾ Alfred died before 1873. Evidently this Alfred K. Marshall died in infancy as his parents, Parker and Comfort Marshall, named another son Alfred K. in 1873.

29 vi. Alfred Kendall 'Ken' Marshall⁽²⁰⁴⁾ was born in Mearsville, Acc Co, VA 2 Feb 1873.⁽²⁰⁵⁾ Alfred died 29 Aug 1959 in Williamsburg, VA, at 86 years of age.⁽²⁰⁶⁾ His body was interred in Downing's Cem, Oak Hall, Acc Co, VA.⁽²⁰⁷⁾ He married Minnie Lee Byrd 21 Feb 1894 in Temperanceville, Acc Co, VA.(208) Minnie was born 13 Nov 1876 in Mearsville, Acc Co, VA.⁽²⁰⁹⁾ Minnie⁽²¹⁰⁾ was the daughter of Walter Wessells Byrd and Arena Jackson Gladding. Minnie died 24 Sep 1944 in New Church, Acc Co, VA, at 67 years of age.⁽²¹¹⁾ Her body was interred in Downing's Cem, Oak Hall, Acc Co, VA.⁽²¹²⁾ Conflicting evidence states that Minnie was born 8 Oct 1876.⁽²¹³⁾
