16. William Allen3 Marshall (Esme2, Patience1 "V") was born March 28, 1759. William died October 23, 1816 in Snow Hill, Worcester Co., MD, at 57 years of age.

He married Dolly Bishop in Worcester Co., MD, August 2, 1803. (Mary Beth & Vanessa Long, Worcester Co. Marriage Licenses 1795-1865, p. 14)

Dolly was born in Worcester Co., MD 1781. Dolly was the daughter of Charles Bishop and Zipporah Bishop. Dolly died 1842 in Worcester Co., MD, at 61 years of age. Dolly is buried at Whatcoat United Methodist Church Cemetery at Snow Hill. William Marshall is shown as Secretary of New Market Races in the August 10, 1802 "Maryland Herald & Eastern Shore Intelligencer." (F. Edward Wright, Maryland Eastern Shore Newspaper Abstracts)
