55. Thomas4 Fisher (Maddox3, Maddox2, Patience1 "V") was born in Northampton Co., VA 1737. (ref: Houston & Mihalyka) Thomas died 1790 in Isle of Wight Co., VA, at 53 years of age.

He married Sarah Smith in Northampton Co., VA, August 1, 1764. Sarah was born about 1735. Sarah was the daughter of William Smith. Sarah was the widow of George Turner, d. 1754. (M.K.Miles) She evidently predeceased Thomas Fisher.

He made a will in Isle of Wight Co., VA, September 14, 1789. (Blanche A. Chapman, Wills & Administrations of Isle of Wight Co. VA, Smithfield, VA, 1975)

Thomas's will was probated in Isle of Wight Co., VA, January 7, 1790. Thomas went to Isle of Wight Co. VA, where he wrote his will and named his children.

Thomas Fisher and Sarah Smith had the following children:

child 126 i. Susannah5 Fisher. She married William Justice. Thomas Fisher named his daughter, Susannah Fisher in 1790. In a 1798 deed by the heirs of Thomas' mother, a Susannah Justice, wife of William, is shown in Whitelaw's account.

child 127 ii. Sarah Fisher.

child 128 iii. Rosey Fisher. She married ?Unknown Henderson. In a 1798 deed showing the heirs of Thomas Fisher's mother, a Rose Henderson is named. This is probably Rose Fisher, daughter of Thomas.

child 129 iv. Thomas George Washington Fisher. This may be the Thomas Fisher named in the 1798 Northampton deed (Whitelaw).

child + 130 v. William Fisher.

child + 131 vi. Teackle Fisher was born about 1764.

child + 132 vii. Fairfax John Throughgood Fisher was born about 1776.
