248. Robert J.⁵ Poulson (Elizabeth⁴ James, Thomas³, Sarah² Marshall, Patience¹ "V") was born January 8, 1806.

He married Catharine P. W. Custis in Accomack Co., VA, July 22, 1833. Catharine was born April 9, 1813. Catharine was the daughter of John Custis and Tabitha Gillett. Catharine died January 4, 1896 at 82 years of age.

Robert J. Poulson and Catharine P. W. Custis had the following children:

+ 456 i. Catharine W.⁶ Poulson was born July 6, 1834.

457 ii. Elizabeth T. Poulson was born 1836. Elizabeth died August 1, 1920 in Accomack Co., VA, at 84 years of age. (Mihalyka & Wilson, Graven Stones, Heritage Books, Bowie, MD, 1992, p. 219)

458 iii. Mary D. Poulson was born February 6, 1838. Mary died January 4, 1908 at 69 years of age.

460 v. Sarah Custis Poulson was born March 16, 1842. Sarah died April 17, 1926 at 84 years of age.

461 vi. John Custis Poulson was born June 23, 1847. John died June 16, 1865 at 17 years of age. Served in army of CSA.

462 vii. Robert J. Poulson was born March 4, 1849. Robert died March 9, 1882 at 33 years of age.

+ 463 viii. Charlotte Custis Poulson was born 1850.
