343. Louis I²⁸ (Charlemagne²⁹, Pepin³⁰)⁽¹²⁹⁵⁾ was born in Garrone, France, Aug 778.⁽¹²⁹⁶⁾ Louis the Pious died 20 Jun 840 in Mainz, Germany, at 61 years of age.⁽¹²⁹⁷⁾

He married twice. He married Ermengarde circa 794/795.⁽¹²⁹⁸⁾ Ermengarde was born circa 780.⁽¹²⁹⁹⁾ Ermengarde⁽¹³⁰⁰⁾ was the daughter of Ingerman Count of Hasbaye. Ermengarde died 3 Oct 818 at 38 years of age.⁽¹³⁰¹⁾ He married Judith of Bavaria Feb 819 in Aix-la-Chapelle, Germany.⁽¹³⁰²⁾ Judith was born circa 804/6.⁽¹³⁰³⁾ Judith⁽¹³⁰⁴⁾ was the daughter of Welf Count of Alamannia and Heilwig of Saxony. Judith died 19 Apr 843 in Tours, at 38 years of age.⁽¹³⁰⁵⁾ King of Aquitaine 781, co-regent 813, crowned Emperor at Rheims, 28 Oct 816.
