66. LEMUEL⁴ PURNELL (JUDGE) (ELISHA³, THOMAS², THOMAS¹) was born 1730. LEMUEL died 1771 in Worcester Co., MD, at 41 years of age. His body was interred in Public Landing, Worcester Co. MD, Abandoned Family Cemetery.

He married DENNIS HOPKINS. DENNIS died 1776 in Worcester Co., MD. Lemuel was named in his father's will and received 50 acres of "Middle" as grandson of William Selby. He named his three daughters and two sons, with Henry Johnson and Samuel Handy as executors.

LEMUEL PURNELL (Judge) and DENNIS HOPKINS had the following children:

+ 230 i. JOHN SELBY⁵ PURNELL was born about 1760.

+ 231 ii. ANN NANCY PURNELL was born March 19, 1762.

+ 232 iii. GEORGE PURNELL (Mjr.) was born March 3, 1764.

+ 233 iv. SARAH PURNELL was born September 6, 1766.

+ 234 v. HENRIETTA PURNELL was born about 1770.
