She married MOSES CHAILLE. Muster rolls of 3rd Maryland Independent Co. for August 20, 1776 states, "Moses Chaille, 1st Lt., absent, gone to be married." (ref: A Somerset Sampler) Her father left her lands at "Sean Heath," "Long Lott," "Long Aire," and "Addition." Her uncle, William, called her Martha Shelly in 1780.

MARTHA PURNELL and MOSES CHAILLE had the following children:
