75. THOMAS⁴ PURNELL (WALTON³, THOMAS², THOMAS¹) was born in Worcester Co., MD before August 15, 1755. THOMAS died 1831 in Worcester Co., MD, at 75 years of age.

He married MARY PURNELL. MARY was born in Worcester Co., MD before 1772. MARY was the daughter of THOMAS PURNELL (of Sinepuxent) and COMFORT PURNELL. A Catherine Wildman bequeathed to him money from rents of her Snow Hill properties in her will dated August 19, 1755. He owned land at "Venture" and "Poplar Neck." He named two of his children in his will, daughter Elizabeth and son William; friends John L. Purnell and John Mitchell were executors.

THOMAS PURNELL and MARY PURNELL had the following children:

260 i. WALTON F.⁵ PURNELL.

261 ii. THOMAS PURNELL. He married CHARLOTTE CUMMINGS.

262 iii. WILLIAM PURNELL (Dr.). He was named in his father's will.

263 iv. ELIZABETH WALTON PURNELL. She married WILLIAM HOLLAND. She was named in her father's will. (marriage-Suzanne B. Hurley, Ocean City Lifesaving Museum)
