He married SARAH ELIZABETH SPENCE 1849. SARAH was born April 17, 1825. SARAH was the daughter of JOHN SELBY SPENCE (Dr.) (Senator) and SALLY MARIA PURNELL. SARAH died July 3, 1883 in Worcester Co., MD, at 58 years of age. Buried at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Berlin, MD.
