508. WILLIAM⁶ PURNELL (HASTENTIUS QUINTUS⁵, WILLIAM HENRY "D"⁴, WALTON³, THOMAS², THOMAS¹) was born in Greensboro, Greene Co., AL February 11, 1834. WILLIAM died 1899 in Warren Co., MS, at 65 years of age.

He married GRACE ANN CRAB WIER in Noxubee Co., MS, September 2, 1856. GRACE was born in AL November 18, 1836. GRACE died June 18, 1878 in Noxubee Co., MS, at 41 years of age. He was living at Issaquena Co., MS in 1880 and is buried at Noxubee Co., MS.

WILLIAM PURNELL and GRACE ANN CRAB WIER had the following children:

735 i. WILLIAM A.⁷ PURNELL was born in MS 1857. WILLIAM died 1924 at 67 years of age. William married Annie Holliman and was a telegraph operator in 1880. (research of Diane Bender)

736 ii. EDGAR T. PURNELL was born in MS 1864.

737 iii. WILLIAM R. PURNELL was born in MS 1868.

738 iv. JOHN H. PURNELL was born 1870.

739 v. HENRY P. PURNELL was born in MS 1873.
