He married Esther (wife of Absalom Sturgis). The will of Absolum Sturgis was dated April 28, 1773 and

Americus5 Sturgis. Americus died 1795 in Accomack Co., VA. In
1774, John Sill left his land to his daughters, Ann Ritter Hinman and Mary Boggs, and the balance to Americus Sturgis and John Pitts.
Americus sold his 50 acres to Peter Hack, Sr. in 1778. Americus sold 200 acres at A14 in 1780 "now possessed by Christian Sill and
Frederick Kellam" to Frederick Kellam. Whitelaw did not know how Americus fit into this land in Accomack County. (Ralph T. Whitelaw,
