171. Thomas⁶ Sturgis (Zadock⁵, John⁴, John³, John², John¹) was born 1798. Thomas died after 1850.

He married Sarah Rounds 1817. Sarah was the daughter of Hampton Rounds and Zipporah Rackliff. She was named in the will of her uncle, James Rackliffe in 1790.

Thomas Sturgis and Sarah Rounds had the following children:

229 i. Charles R.⁷ Sturgis was born 1818.

230 ii. Jacob Hanton Sturgis was born 1821.

231 iii. Dolly A. Sturgis was born 1825.

232 iv. Zipporah Sturgis was born 1827.
