509. Tabitha Custis⁷ Scarburgh (Margaret⁶ Custis, Henry⁵, Margaret⁴ Michael, Elizabeth³ Thorowgood, Adam², William¹) was born 1745. Tabitha died before 1786.

She married Nathaniel Beavans. Nathaniel was the son of William Beavans and Mary Bell. Nathaniel died 1792 in Accomack Co., VA. Will dated December 29, 1786, probate January 31, 1792, names children: William Henry Beavans, Walter Beavans, Tabitha Custis Scarburgh Beavans, Margaret Custis Beavans. (Stratton Nottingham, Wills & Administrations of Accomack Co., VA, p. 393-4) In her 1782 will, Tabitha's mother names her daughter Tabitha Custis Beavans and son-in-law Nathaniel Beavans and their children: William Henry, Walter, Margaret Custis and Tabitha Custis Scarburgh Beavans.

Tabitha Custis Scarburgh and Nathaniel Beavans had the following children:

782 i. Margaret Custis⁸ Beavans. Margaret died after 1792.

783 ii. Tabitha Custis Scarburgh Beavans. Tabitha died after 1792.

784 iii. Walter Beavans. Walter died after 1792.

785 iv. William Henry Beavans. William died after 1803. He married Besty or Betty M. Core in Accomack Co., VA, 1800. Besty died after 1803.

786 v. Nathaniel Beavans(Jr.). He was named by his grandmother, Mary Beavans, in 1784, but not by his maternal grandmother or father.
