He married Lucy Ambler November 9, 1875. Lucy was born 1848. Lucy was the daughter of John Ambler and Anna Maria Mason. Lucy died 1918 at 70 years of age.

Landon Randolph Mason and Lucy Ambler had the following children:

child 857 i. Randolph Fitzhugh9 Mason was born July 12, 1878. Randolph died July 23, 1918 at 40 years of age.

child 858 ii. John Ambler Mason was born August 5, 1880. He married Pocahontas Hendren April 27, 1910.

child 859 iii. Lucy Randolph Mason was born July 26, 1882.

child 860 iv. Landon Randolph Mason(Jr.) was born August 2, 1884.

child 861 v. Ida Oswald Mason was born October 16, 1888. She married Charles Sinclair Taylor Burke October 15, 1912.
