She married twice. She married James A. Bell before 1847. James died 1847. She married Robert Benson in Accomack Co., VA, December 20, 1851. Robert died after 1851.

Charlotte Ann Scherer and James A. Bell had the following children:

1510 i. Frances¹⁰ Bell. She married William Scott.

1511 ii. James C. Bell.
