337. Samuel Washington⁹ DUNTON (William⁸, Rickards⁷, William⁶, Rickards⁵, Elizabeth⁴ MOORE, Margaret³ TILNEY, John², John¹) (#803) was born in Northampton Co VA January 2, 1811. Samuel died January 16, 1865 in Northampton Co VA, at 54 years of age.

He married twice. He married Margaret G. BADGER in Northampton Co VA, July 5, 1841. (Margaret G. BADGER is #905.) Margaret was born March 24, 1823. Margaret was the daughter of Thomas Wyatt BADGER and Margaret "Peggy" CHURN. Margaret died October 29, 1859 at 36 years of age. He married Mary Susan BELL in Northampton Co VA, November 10, 1861. (Mary Susan BELL is #908.) Mary was born 1821. Mary was the daughter of Anthony BELL and Tabitha HARMON.

Samuel Washington DUNTON and Margaret G. BADGER had the following children:

391 i. William T.¹⁰ DUNTON (#911) was born December 19, 1843. William died June 21, 1844 at less than one year of age.

392 ii. William Thomas DUNTON (#912) was born April 14, 1845.

393 iii. Henry Richard DUNTON (#913) was born October 22, 1847.

394 iv. Mary "Lucy" G. DUNTON (#914) was born May 19, 1850.

395 v. Lucy Ann DUNTON (#915) was born October 30, 1852. Lucy died January 15, 1878 in Northampton Co VA, at 25 years of age. She married John Taylor ROGERS November 11, 1874. (John Taylor ROGERS is #916.) John was born August 23, 1851. John was the son of James W. ROGERS and Maria C. SCOTT. John died March 17, 1907 in Northampton Co VA, at 55 years of age.

396 vi. John B. DUNTON (#919) was born January 19, 1855. John died July 12, 1859 in Northampton Co VA, at 4 years of age.

397 vii. Virginia "Jennie" Sophia DUNTON (#920) was born July 26, 1857.
