85. William⁵ Whittington (William⁴, William³, William², William¹) was born about 1743. William died 1769 in Accomack Co., VA, at 26 years of age.

He married Mary King Henry. Mary was the daughter of Robert Jenkins Henry(Col.) and Gertrude Rousby. Her father left her tract "Golden Lyon" on Morumsco Creek and part of "Long Meadow." Mary married second Cpt. William Handy d. 1790 (Matthew Wise, The Littleton Heritage) Named by his grandmother in her will of 1756, Accomack Co. VA (Stratton Nottingham, Wills & Adm. Acc. Co.; Dan Trimble).

William Whittington and Mary King Henry had the following children:

201 i. John Rousby⁶ Whittington was born about 1767. John died 1788-89 at 21 years of age.

+ 202 ii. William Whittington(Judge) was born March, 1770.
