25. Thomas4 Custis (Tabitha Scarburgh3 Whittington, William2, William1) was born in Accomack Co., VA 1684. Thomas died 1721 in Accomack Co., VA, at 37 years of age.
He married twice. He married Elizabeth Custis before December 3, 1708. Elizabeth was born 1681. Elizabeth was the daughter of John Custis(III)(Col.) and Margaret Michael. Elizabeth died 1715 at 34 years of age. He married Ann Kendall in Northampton Co., VA, June, 1717. Ann was born before January 29, 1696. Ann was the daughter of William Kendall(II)(Sr.)(Capt.) and Ann Mason. Ann died May 18, 1760 at 64 years of age. (Myers & Dorman, Purse & Person p.438)
He made a will in Accomack Co., VA, October 3, 1719. Probate April 4, 1721. (Stratton Nottingham, Wills & Administrations of Accomack Co., VA, p. 67) Thomas was the beneficiary of his great grandmother Madam Tabitha Hill (Scarburgh) of 700 acres near White Marsh and residual legatee of her estate (Nottingham p.57)
