178. Leah⁶ Teackle (Elizabeth⁵ Custis, Thomas⁴, Tabitha Scarburgh³ Whittington, William², William¹) was born November 19, 1751. Leah died June 5, 1795 at 43 years of age.

She married Littleton Savage (Col.) after 1772. Littleton was born 1740. Littleton was the son of John Savage(III)(Mjr.) and Mary Godwin. Littleton died January 9, 1805 in Northampton Co., VA, at 64 years of age. He was clerk of court for Accomake County 1774-1805. He was age 65 when he died. Buried at Cherry Grove, Northampton Co., VA. (Bill Burton) Buried at Cherry Grove, Northampton Co., VA.

Leah Teackle and Littleton Savage(Col.) had the following children:

436 i. William Burton⁷ Savage. William died 1811. He married Susanna Smith in Northampton Co., VA, May 12, 1795. Susanna was born November 8, 1770. Susanna was the daughter of Isaac Smith(Jr.) and Elizabeth C. Teackle. Susanna died September, 1848 in Baltimore, MD, at 77 years of age.

437 ii. Leah Teackle Savage. He married Thomas Savage.

438 iii. Mary Burton Savage was born in Northampton Co., VA September 25, 1774. Mary died July 10, 1794 in Northampton Co., VA, at 19 years of age. She married Thomas Lyttleton Savage in Hungars Parish, Northampton Co., VA, May 21, 1789. Thomas was born in Yorktown, VA January 8, 1760. Thomas was the son of Nathaniel Littleton Savage and Ann Reynolds. Thomas died June 20, 1815 in Northampton Co., VA, at 55 years of age. Buried at Cugley, Northampton Co., VA. (Bill Burton)
