He married twice. He married Elizabeth P. Williams in Northampton Co., VA, 1829. Elizabeth was born January 29, 1811. Elizabeth died October 13, 1836 at 25 years of age. (ref: Graven Stone)

He married Sally Revell in Accomack Co., VA, June 7, 1843.
