He married twice. He married Catherine "Kate" Sarah Roberts in Northampton Co., VA, April 2, 1856. Catherine was born 1838. Catherine was the daughter of Lewis S. Roberts and Sarah Ann Major. Catherine died befire 1874. 1850 census, St. George's, Accomack Co., VA. 1860 & 1870 census.

He married Esther Savage in Northampton Co., VA, July 24, 1874. Esther was born March 1, 1840. Esther was the daughter of James T. Savage and Elizabeth A.(wife of James Savage). Esther died April 24, 1916 at 76 years of age. 1850 census. He was a school teacher. Buried at Steward's Warf, Northampton Co., VA. (Bill Wilkins; Bill Burton)

Johnson in Northampton Co., VA, December 26, 1895. Sarah was born July 14, 1873. Sarah was the daughter of William T. Johnson and Sally "Lollie" N. Tyson. Sarah died March 18, 1916 at 42 years of age. He and his wife are buried at Franktown. (Bill Burton)

child 949 iv. Edmund R. Mapp was born 1864. Edmund died 1950 in Northampton Co., VA, at 86 years of age. He married twice. He married Sallie B. Wescott in Northampton Co., VA, August 1, 1893. Sallie was born January 2, 1861. Sallie was the daughter of Hezekiah Pitts Wescott and Rose "Rosey" J. Andrews. Sallie died April 24, 1900 at 39 years of age. Buried Rogers plot, Northampton Co., VA.

He married Nannie L. Metcalf in Northampton Co., VA, December 23, 1908. Nannie was born 1885. Nannie was the daughter of Thomas S. Metcalf and Lucy Savage. Nannie died 1961 at 76 years of age. Buried at Franktown, Northampton Co., VA. Buried at Franktown, Northampton Co., VA. (Bill Wilkins)
