He married Elizabeth "Eliza" Evina Boggs in Accomack Co., VA, January 2, 1845. Elizabeth was born October 8, 1813. Elizabeth was the daughter of Francis Boggs and Elizabeth D. Underhill. Elizabeth died November 20, 1880 at 67 years of age.
