He married Sallie Gertrude Whittington about 1860. Sallie was born in Rapides Parish, LA 1843. Sallie was the daughter of William White Whittington and Ann C. Holt. 1249 vi. Sadie Smith was born in LA 1876. She married M.K. Carruth.

1250 vii. Sallie Smith was born in LA 1877. She married Unknown Dowty.

1251 viii. Eveline Smith was born in LA 1879. She married Unknown Hunter.
