8. Francis2 Wainhouse (Patience1 "V") was born in Northampton Co., VA about 1710. Francis died 1760 in Accomack Co., VA, at 50 years of age.

He married Bridget Johnson. Bridget was the daughter of Obedience Johnson(Jr.) and Dorothy Washburne. Bridget died 1761.

He made a will in Accomack Co., VA, January 28, 1760. (Stratton Nottingham, Wills & Admin. Accomack Co., VA, p. 197)

Francis's will was probated in Accomack Co., VA, February 26, 1760. Francis was named in his father's will and was under age 18. Thomas Marshall was shown as guardian to Francis and presented inventory and appraisal on 3 February 1724, Accomack Court. The court record for 10 July 1724 shows Thomas Marshall guardian to Francis, orphan of Dorothy Wainhouse, now the wife of Capt. Scarburgh. (research of court records by James H. Marshall) However, Francis was the son of Francis, brother of Dorothy. Dorothy may have been his first guardian. Francis named his wife and children in his will.

Francis Wainhouse and Bridget Johnson had the following children:

child 44 v. Patience Wainhouse. In 1765, a Patience Maxwell, wife of Daniel, of North Carolina, sold Lot 11 in Onancock Town, to Anne Wainhouse, widow of Francis. (Whitelaw 913)

child 45 vi. Rose Wainhouse.
