97. Esme4 Purnell (Elizabeth3 Marshall, Esme2, Patience1 "V") was born in Worcester Co., MD before 1774. Esme died 1807 in Worcester Co., MD, at 33 years of age. (Ruth Dryden, Worcester Will Book MH, p. 77)

He married Dolly Chaille in Worcester Co., MD, May 3, 1799. (notes of James H. Marshall; Mary Beth & Vanessa Long, Worcester Marriage Records) Dolly was the daughter of Moses Chaille and Martha Purnell.

He made a will in Worcester Co., MD, June 24, 1807. (Ruth T. Dryden, Worcester Co. MD Wills Book MH, p.6)

Esme's will was probated in Worcester Co., MD, July 4, 1807. His father's will left him 100 acres at Queponco. A Captain E. Purnell of the Snow Hill Batalion is shown in the Worcester Revolutionary Militia. (Dryden Collection) Esme appears in the 1800 census as a male 26-45, with 1 female 10-15 and 1 female 26-45.

Esme Purnell and Dolly Chaille had the following children:
