410. John Edward Henry6 Marshall (John Purnell5, Elizabeth4 Purnell, John3, Thomas2, Thomas1) was born in Worcester Parish, Worcester Co., MD 1807. (ref: F. Edward Wright, Eastern Shore Vital Records) John died after 1880 in Dallas Co., AL. He married Laura Ann M. Henry in Worcester Co., MD, September 22, 1829. Laura was born about 1813. Laura died after 1880 in Dallas Co., AL. John was given two tracts of land for 150 acres at "Bell Vale" and "Bell Aire" by his father in 1829. He was named executor of his father's estate and guardian for his underage brother, George. John's occupation is shown as "collector" in the 1850 census, with a property value of 12,000. His family was enumerated in Berlin District 1, Worcester County, MD: Mr. E. H., 43; Laura A. M., 37; Mr. E., 16, occupation appears to be 'clerk'; Mary, 20; Robert, 18; Elizabeth, 14; Isaac H or N, 10; Charles, 8; George, 6; Eugene, 4; Francis, 2. A John E. H. Marshall, age 16, was in the same household of E.D. Martin, Clerk of County, Joseph P. W. Richardson, 20, Clerk, and William H. Purnell, lawyer, and others in 1850 Snow Hill. It is not known if he is the son of John Edward Henry Marshall. It would appear that John E. H. Jr. was listed twice, both in Snow Hill and at home. J. E. H. Marshall, age 73, with wife, L. A. H. age 67, daughter, E. H., age 43; son G. W., age 35; con C. H. (Clarence), age 28, are all listed in 1880 Dallas Co., AL. E. M. (Eugene) Marshall, age 34, is listed with his family in Dallas Co., AL. All are shown born in MD and parents born in MD. The 1870 census of Dallas Co., AL shows Charles L. Marshall, 28, b.
