55. Aralanta4 Purnell (John3, Thomas2, Thomas1) was born in Worcester Co., MD about 1722. Aralanta died 1782 in Worcester Co., MD. She married Thomas Robins (Cpt.) in Worcester Co., MD, about 1745. Thomas was born 1702. Thomas was the son of Thomas Robins and Elizabeth Bowdoin. Thomas died September 25, 1765 in Worcester Co., MD. (Meyer & Dorman, Adventurers of Purse & Person, Dietz Press, Richmond, VA, 1987) He was a member of the Lower House of the Maryland legislature from Worcester Co. 1744-51. (Meyers & Dorman, Adventurers of Purse & Person, p. 465) She made a will in Worcester Co., MD, September 19, 1781. (Ruth T. Dryden, Worcester Co. MD Wills JW4 f.506, p. 56) Aralanta's will was probated in Worcester Co., MD, December 12, 1782. Her father left her "land left by my father Thomas Purnell" called "Four Fields" and "Fern Hill." (Ruth T. Dryden, Worcester Land Records). Aralanta was the 2nd wife of Captain Thomas Robins. Arlanta named her daughters Mary Purnell, Andasiah Spence, Esther Robins, Elizabeth Winnings, Arlanta Robins, son Littleton Robins, and grandchildren John Purnall Robins and Arlanta Purnell Robins. Aralanta Purnell and Thomas Robins(Cpt.) had the following children:
