63. WILLIAM⁴ PURNELL (MATTHEW³, THOMAS², THOMAS¹) was born in Worcester Co., MD about 1745. WILLIAM died 1781 in Worcester Co., MD, at 36 years of age.

He married twice. He married SARAH RACKLIFF. He married MARY SIMPSON. MARY died 1787 in Worcester Co., MD. He was named in his father's will. William named his sons, John and Rouse, and brothers Elisha and Matthew, and Martha, daughter of his brother, John.

WILLIAM PURNELL and SARAH RACKLIFF had the following children:

+ 226 i. ROUSE FASSITT⁵ PURNELL.

+ 227 ii. JOHN PURNELL was born about 1772.

WILLIAM PURNELL and MARY SIMPSON had the following child:

228 iii. THOMAS PURNELL. Thomas was named in his father's will.
