John was Justice, Sheriff, and member of the House of Burgesses from 1700 to 1702. He owned 636+ acres in Northampton County. 220 iii. Margaret Powell. Margaret died after 1735. She married Clark Jacob. Clark was born after 1701. Clark was the son of Richard Jacob(II) and Elizabeth Clark. Clark died 1735 in Northampton Co., VA, at 33 years of age. His father left him 50 acres, and he was not to disturb his "mother-in-law" until he is 21. His will was dated January 26, 1734-5, where he left his estate to his wife, Margaret. (James H. Marshall, Wills & Administrations of Northampton Co., VA, p. 289)
