82. George⁵ Dent (Col.) (Elizabeth⁴ Fowke, Ann³ Thorowgood, Adam², William¹) was born in Nanjemoy, Charles Co., MD September 27, 1690. George died May 12, 1754 in Charles Co., MD, at 63 years of age.

He married Anne Harbert in Charles Co., MD, about 1715. Anne died 1764 in Charles Co., MD. He was a planater of Charles County, Justice in 1715, Sheriff 1735-1738, member of the Lower House of the Maryland Assembly 1719-1727, Justice of Provincial Court, 1728-1735, 1738-1754, Chief Justice in 1754, Judge of the Assize Court of the Western Shore 1733 to 1749 and Colonel of the Militia. 192 v. Ann Dent. She married twice. She married Gilbert Ireland. She married Major Sweeney.

193 vi. Letitia Dent. She married twice. She married Benjamin Stoddert. She married Peter DeJean.

195 viii. Eleanor Dent. She married John Blackstone. She married 2nd Alexander McParling and 3rd James Bayard.

196 ix. Sarah Dent.
