She married William Smith. William was the son of Thomas Smith. William died 1750 in Northampton Co., VA. Will dated September 11, 1750, probate January 8, 1750, names his wife and children. (James H. Marshalls, Wills & Administrations of Northampton Co., VA, p. 331) John Tilney left Negro Pleasant to his daughter Susanna Smith. Tilney did not name Susanna's husband. In 1750, the will of William Smith named his wife Susanna and a Negro, Pleasant. Land records of Northampton County indicate William Smith's land not far from those of John Tilney.
