He married Lucretia Costin February 8, 1786. Lucretia was the daughter of Abraham Costin and Elizabeth Griffith. Lucretia died before 1802.

John Dixon and Lucretia Costin had the following child:

361 i. Mary "Polly"⁸ Dixon was born after 1786. She married William Goffigon April 14, 1806. William was born about 1785. William was the son of Thomas Goffigon and Bridget Willis-Ellis. William died about 1828.
