He married Jane Tull in Somerset Co., MD, October 2, 1839. Jane was born in Somerset Co., MD August 24, 1819. Jane was the daughter of Thomas Tull and Mary Lankford. 500 ii. Eliza Jane Whittington was born in Somerset Co., MD June 17, 1845. Eliza died February 10, 1912 in Somerset Co., MD, at 66 years of age. She married Nathan T. Conner in Somerset Co., MD, April 25, 1866. Eliza and Nathan had nine children and their descendants are included in Matthew Wise's, "The Littleton Heritage."

501 iii. Joseph Henry Whittington was born 1848. Joseph died 1929 at 81 years of age. He married Mary Virginia Adams in Somerset Co., MD, 1894. His descendants are traced further in Matthew Wise's "The Littleton Heritage." (Matthew M. Wise, The Littleton Heritage, p. 26, 38)

502 iv. Charles Southey Whittington was born in Somerset Co., MD April 24, 1851. Charles died February 4, 1932 in Marion, MD, at 80 years of age. He married Ida E. Miles in Somerset Co., MD, November 20, 1878. Ida was born November 25, 1857. Ida was the daughter of Luther T. Miles and Elizabeth Ann Handy. 505 vii. Alfred A. Whittington was born in Somerset Co., MD 1861. Alfred died September 11, 1939 in Crisfield, MD, at 78 years of age. He married Caroline Clayton in Baltimore, MD, about 1882.
