14. Southy³ Whittington (William², William¹) was born in Somerset Co., MD about 1687. Southy died 1773 in Worcester Co., MD, at 86 years of age.

He married Mary Fassitt about 1719. Mary was born about 1699. Mary was the daughter of William Fassitt (Col.) and Mary Rouse. Mary died 1770 at 71 years of age. Southy wrote his will February 20, 1770 and it was probated March 17, 1773. He left 100 acres "Addition" to his son, Isaac. (Ruth T. Dryden, Land Records of Worcester Co. MD, 1987)

Southy Whittington and Mary Fassitt had the following children:

33 i. William "Fitz"⁴ Whittington was born in Somerset Co., MD about 1719. (Matthew Wise, The Littleton Heritage) William died about 1735.

34 ii. Esther Whittington was born in Somerset Co., MD about 1724. Esther died about 1757. She married Aaron Starling. The descendants of Esther Whittington and Aaron Starling/Sterling can be found in Matthew Wise's "The Littleton Heritage."

+ 35 iii. Hannah Whittington was born about 1730.

+ 37 v. Southy Whittington was born about 1732.

+ 38 vi. Stevenson Whittington was born about 1733.

39 vii. Littleton Whittington was born before January 22, 1734. He was named in the will of his grandfather, William Fassitt.

+ 40 viii. Isaac Whittington was born about 1735.

43 xi. Sarah Whittington was born about 1743. Sarah died after 1804. She married Benjamin Polk. Benjamin was the son of James Polk and Elizabeth(wife of James Polk). (Matthew Wise, The Littleton Heritage)
