202. Thomas C.⁶ Bunting (Solomon⁵, William⁴, Smith³, Jonathan², William¹) was born March 8, 1812. Thomas died 1877 in Accomack Co., VA, at 65 years of age. Will dated January 1, 1871, probate October 29, 1877. He named his farm in Upshur Neck and his sons Cardinal L. and George T. and daughter, Virginia M. Finney. Witnesses: Frederick Floyd, John E. He married twice. He married Juliet L. Smith in Accomack Co., VA, November 10, 1834. (Nora M. Turman, Marriage Records of Accomack Co. VA 1776-1854) Juliet was the daughter of George Smith.

He married Maria G. Floyd in Accomack Co., VA, March 30, 1841. (Nora M. Turman, Marriage Records of Accomack Co. VA 1776-1854)

Maria was born February 21, 1825. Maria was the daughter of George Floyd and Maria Bradford. Maria died October 1, 1877 in Accomack Co., VA, at 52 years of age. (Graven Stone, p. 45) Her mother, Maria Bradford, was great grandother to Mary E. Bell through her first marriage to Levin Custis Stewart and grandmother to Lambertine bunting through her second marriage to George Floyd, making the couple "half" first cousins once removed. This undoubtedly explains why Mary Bell always referred to her husband as "Cousin Lamb." (Amy Garrison) Maria was ward of Thomas Floyd at the time of her marriage to Bunting. (dates-Amy Garrison) Thomas purchased 216 acres of A7 in 1857 from Emily L. Upshur which became known as Bunting Farm. (Ralph T. (Whitelaw, p. 613) Thomas is shown in the 1850 census, St. George's Parish, Accomack County (#941, p. 136) age 38, Mariah G. 25, George S. 14, Virginia M. 3, Cardinal L. 8mo., Elizabeth E. B. David was born in Accomack Co., VA 1840. David was the son of Edward O. Finney and Margaret S.(wife of Edward Finney).

285 iii. Cardinal Lambertine Bunting was born in Accomack Co., VA November 8, 1849. Cardinal died October 4, 1930 in Accomack Co., VA, at 80 years of age. He married Mary E. Bell in Accomack Co., VA, July 19, 1878. (M.K. & Barry Miles, Marriage Records of Accomack Co., VA 1854-1895)

Mary was born June 26, 1865. Mary died July 17, 1948 at 83 years of age.
