393. George Washington⁸ Purnell (Jr.)(Dr.) (Mary "Molly" Outten⁷, Sarah⁶ Marshall, Thomas⁵, John⁴, John³, Thomas², John¹) was born in Worcester Co., MD 1820. George died in New Orleans, LA.

He married Eliza E. (wife of George W. Purnell). Eliza was born about 1821. Washington was in Worcester for the 1850 census as G. Washington Purnell and moved to New Orleans by 1860, where he practiced medicine. (Matthew Wise, The Littleton Heritage, p. 422; 1850 Census)

735 ii. Lavinia E. Purnell was born in Worcester Co., MD about 1848.

736 iii. James F. Purnell was born in Worcester Co., MD about 1849. He married twice. He married Mary E. Dennis in Worcester Co., MD, February 27, 1872. Mary died before 1889. He married Hester Hammond in Worcester Co., MD, October 6, 1889.
