He married Ann "Annie" Elizabeth Yerby in Northampton Co., VA, September 3, 1852. Ann was born 1834. Ann was the daughter of George Teackle Yerby(Dr.) and Charlotte Hack Jacob. Ann died 1914 at 80 years of age. 1850 census.

1501 i. Alice Yerby¹⁰ Kerr was born August 21, 1853. Alice died January 22, 1926 at 72 years of age. She married Henry Littleton Upshur Nottingham(Judge). Henry was born in Norfolk, VA October 29, 1854. Henry was the son of George Littleton Upshur Nottingham and Sarah Andrews Parker. Henry died November 26, 1940 at 86 years of age. 1860 census. Buried at Christ Church, Eastville, VA. (Bill Wilkins) Buried at Christ Church, Eastville, VA.

1502 ii. George Yerby Kerr was born in Northampton Co., VA 1856. George died after 1881 in Baltimore, MD. He married Mary Hannah Jarvis in Northampton Co., VA, November 23, 1881. Mary was born in Accomack Co., VA 1858. Mary was the daughter of Thomas William Jarvis and Mary Hannah Scherer. Mary died after 1881. George was a textile agent. 1860 census.
