529. Henry Francis⁸ Handy (Mary Jackson⁷ Marshall, Robert Henry⁶, Esme⁵, Thomas⁴, John³, Thomas², John¹) was born in Cincinnati, OH October 30, 1826. Henry died January 18, 1871 in Cincinnati, OH, at 44 years of age.

He married Serena Burr Davenport February 22, 1849. Henry graduated from Woodward College. He was a school principal and later a successful builder with his brother, Truman, in Handy & Bros. Henry Francis Handy and Serena Burr Davenport had the following children:

858 i. Serena Cushing⁹ Handy was born December 22, 1849.

859 ii. Kate Handy was born June 1, 1853.

860 iii. George Pendleton Handy was born January 1, 1857.

861 iv. Blanche Handy was born July 11, 1860.
