967. George S.⁹ Bunting (George⁸, John⁷, George⁶, Jonathan⁵, Tamar⁴ Marshall, George³, Thomas², John¹) was born 1820. George died 1858 at 38 years of age.

He married Rosy A. Fitchett.

George S. Bunting and Rosy A. Fitchett had the following children:

He married Mary W. Thornton in Accomack Co., VA, December 16, 1885. (M.K. & Barry Miles, Marriage Records of Accomack Co., VA 1854-1895) Mary was the daughter of Thomas Thornton and Elizabeth(wife of Thomas Thornton). (Mary Frances Carey, The Buntings of Jenkins Bridge)

1403 ii. Molly Bunting. She married Unknown Mason.

1404 iii. Juliet F. Bunting was born in Accomack Co., VA 1847. She married William T. Barnes in Accomack Co., VA, January 24, 1869. Her name is Julia on marriage record. Marriage performed by J. E. Bundick. (M.K. & Barry Miles, Marriage Records of Accomack Co., VA 1854-1895)

William was born in Accomack Co., VA December, 1843. William was the son of Archibald Barnes and Elizabeth Tatum. William died 1921 at 77 years of age. The 1870 census shows William, age 26, wife Julia, 25, daughter Maria, 1, mother-in-law Rosie, 45, sister-in-law Mary Virginia Bunting, living next to his father, Archibald. Juliet and William lived in Mappsville, where William had a blacksmith shop. Both are buried in Wessells Cemetery near Mears Station. (Louis Barnes)
