749. Mahalah C.⁹ Purnell (Isaac⁸, Milby Selby⁷, Zadock⁶, Elizabeth⁵ Marshall, Isaac⁴, John³, Thomas², John¹) was born in MD 1845.

She married Charles E. Davis in Wicomico Co., MD, December 18, 1872. Charles was born about 1834. Charles died June, 1918 in Worcester Co., MD, at 83 years of age. She is age 5 in 1850 census. (notes of Michael W. Adkins)

Mahalah C. Purnell and Charles E. Davis had the following children:

1134 i. Edward¹⁰ Davis was born about 1874.

1135 ii. Mary Hester Davis was born about 1877.

1136 iii. Sarah Gertrude Davis was born July 1, 1878. Sarah died November 17, 1933 at 55 years of age. She married Levin James Clark in Worcester Co., MD, June 9, 1899. Levin was born December 4, 1870. Levin died December 1, 1949 at 78 years of age. Sarah and Levin are buried at Evergreen Cemetery, at Berlin, MD. (notes of Michael W. Adkins)
