It is not proved that the William Marshall d. 1820 is one and the same as son of Theophilus.

In the case of State of Maryland vs Eliza Stanley for stealing a pound of cheese from Edward A. Marshall, Eliza Stanley was found not guilty in Dorchester County Court, October Term 1837. 251 ii. Lavinia A. Marshall was born after 1816. She married William Willoughby in Dorchester Co., MD, before 1841. She is shown as a minor in 1834. Her name is on the 1832 tax list as Marshall. Court records of 1841 show her married.
