She married Charles E. Davis in Wicomico Co., MD, December 18, 1872. Charles was born about 1834. Charles died June, 1918 in Worcester Co., MD. She is age 5 in 1850 census. (notes of Michael W. Adkins)

Mahalah C. Purnell and Charles E. Davis had the following children:

1333 i. Edward⁹ Davis was born about 1874.

1334 ii. Mary Hester Davis was born about 1877.

1335 iii. Sarah Gertrude Davis was born July 1, 1878. Sarah died November 17, 1933. She married Levin James Clark in Worcester Co., MD, June 9, 1899. Levin was born December 4, 1870. Levin died December 1, 1949. Sarah and Levin are buried at Evergreen Cemetery, at Berlin, MD. (notes of Michael W. Adkins)
