1030. Levin Yardly⁹ Winder (Gov.) (Susanna⁸ Harmanson, George⁷, Argall⁶, Elizabeth⁵ Yeardley, Sarah⁴ Michael, Elizabeth³ Thorowgood, Adam², William¹) was born in Northampton Co., VA April 6, 1787. Levin died July 15, 1836 in Northampton Co., VA, at 49 years of age.

He married Mary Sloss. Thomas Upshur's monograph of George Yeardley indicates Levin Yeardley Winder was an officer in the Confederate Army and married Anna Decormis, having children: Anna Glanville Winder m. Joseph Barrett; Mary Sue Winder m. Arthur Segar; Laura Penelope Winder m. C.N. Campbell; Levin Yeardley Winder d. 1878; Cornelia Hampton Winder; Frank Winder; Kate Winder; Henry Winder; Rosalie Hildegrave Winder m. George Lindsay. Levin Yardly Winder(Gov.) and Mary Sloss had the following child:

1397 i. William Sydney¹⁰ Winder. He married Araminta Rogers Bayley. Araminta was born 1806. Araminta was the daughter of Henry E. Bayley and Sarah Ann Rogers.
