He married Charlotte James Dennis in Somerset Co., MD, 1837. Charlotte was born in Snow Hill, MD December 22, 1813. Charlotte was the daughter of James Dennis and Sally Hindman. Charlotte died January 27, 1902 in Snow Hill, MD, at 88 years of age. Buried at Fairview, Accomack Co., VA (Mihalyka & Wilson, Graven Stone; Bill Wilkins)

Cave Jones Hack and Charlotte James Dennis had the following children:
