Amanda died September 14, 1877 at 40 years of age. He married Matilda Sudler in Somerset Co., MD, February 16, 1882. Shown as Franklin Lankford in the 1860 census, his age is given as 32, and Amanda is 22; there were four field hands and a 10 year old Black male counted at their household #262.
