14. SOUTHY³ WHITTINGTON (WILLIAM², WILLIAM¹) (#460) was born in Somerset Co. MD about 1687. SOUTHY died 1773 in Worchester Co MD, at 86 years of age.

He married MARY FASSITT about 1719. (MARY FASSITT is #461.) MARY was born about 1699. MARY was the daughter of WILLIAM FASSIT (Col.) and MARY ROUSE. MARY died 1770 at 71 years of age. Southy wrote his will February 20, 1770 and it was probated March 17, 1773. He left 100 acres "Addition" to his son, Isaac. (Ruth T. Dryden, Land Records of Worcester Co. MD, 1987)

SOUTHY WHITTINGTON and MARY FASSITT had the following children:

33 i. LITTLETON⁴ WHITTINGTON (#1220).

34 ii. WILLIAM "FITZ" WHITTINGTON (#1222) was born in Somerset Co. MD about 1719. (Matthew Wise, The Littleton Heritage) WILLIAM died about 1735.

35 iii. ESTHER WHITTINGTON (#6609) was born in Somerset Co. MD about 1724. ESTHER died about 1757. She married AARON STARLING. (AARON STARLING is #6610.) The descendants of Esther Whittington and Aaron Starling/Sterling can be found in Matthew Wise's "The Littleton Heritage."

+ 36 iv. HANNAH WHITTINGTON was born about 1730.

37 v. PRISCILLA WHITTINGTON (#7159) was born about 1731. (Matthew Wise, The Littleton Heritage)

+ 39 vii. STEVENSON WHITTINGTON was born about 1733.

+ 40 viii. ISAAC WHITTINGTON was born about 1735.

+ 42 x. WILLIAM WHITTINGTON (Col.) was born about 1740.

43 xi. SARAH WHITTINGTON (#7155) was born about 1743. SARAH died after 1804. She married BENJAMIN POLK. (BENJAMIN POLK is #7157.) BENJAMIN was the son of JAMES POLK and ELIZABETH. (Matthew Wise, The Littleton Heritage)
