36. HANNAH⁴ WHITTINGTON (SOUTHY³, WILLIAM², WILLIAM¹) (#1221) was born in Somerset Co. MD about 1730. HANNAH died 1799 in Worchester Co. MD, at 69 years of age.

She married twice. She married JOHN COX in Somerset Co. MD, 1748. (JOHN COX is #6441.) She married JOSEPH STARLING. (JOSEPH STARLING is #6608.) JOSEPH was the son of JOHN STARLING and MARY MARTIN. Of "Waterford," Worcester Co. (Margretta Stevenson, The Stevenson Family from the Eastern Shore MD to Woodford Co. KY, 1966) Hannah's children by Joseph Sterling were all found in Matthew Wise's "The Littleton Heritage."

HANNAH WHITTINGTON and JOHN COX had the following children:

+ 89 i. WILLIAM⁵ COX was born February 25, 1748.

+ 90 ii. MARY "POLLY" COX was born November 8, 1750.

91 iii. SARAH COX (#7160) was born in Somerset Co. MD November 3, 1752. She married JAMES JONES. (JAMES JONES is #7161.) (Matthew Wise, The Littleton Heritage). Her descendants are continued in "The Littleton Heritage."

HANNAH WHITTINGTON and JOSEPH STARLING had the following children:

92 iv. SOUTHY STARLING (#7164) was born about 1756. SOUTHY died about 1825. His descendants are continued in "The Littleton Heritage."

93 v. MARTHA STARLING (#7165) was born about 1758.

94 vi. JOHN STARLING (#7166) was born about 1760. He married LEAH. (LEAH is #7167.) John's descendants are continued in "The Littleton Heritage."

95 vii. JOSEPH STARLING (Jr.) (#7168) was born about 1762.

96 viii. HANNAH STARLING (#7162) was born about 1768. She married WILLIAM EVANS. (WILLIAM EVANS is #7163.) Her descendants are continued in "The Littleton Heritage."
