She married three times. She married WILLIAM STRAWBIRDGE (Dr.) May 7, 1788. (WILLIAM STRAWBIRDGE (Dr.) is #6538.) She married W. DAVIS ALLEN March 24, 1793. (W. DAVIS ALLEN is #6539.) W. was the son of JOSEPH ALLEN. She married JOHN PORTER in Somerset Co. MD, August 3, 1801. (JOHN PORTER is #1273.) JOHN was born about 1765. JOHN was the son of JOHN GENT PORTER and MARGARET BEARD-BAIRD. JOHN died before March 25, 1817 in Somerset Co. MD, at approximately 51 years of age. John moved to Kentucky in 1814. MARY JANE POLK WHITTINGTON and JOHN PORTER had the following children:

MARY JANE POLK WHITTINGTON and W. DAVIS ALLEN had the following children:

283 iv. WILLIAM WHITTINGTON ALLEN (#6542) was born 1794. He married MARY WHITTINGTON May 18, 1819. (MARY WHITTINGTON is #6543.) MARY was born 1802. MARY was the daughter of ISAAC JOSEPH WHITTINGTON and UNKNOWN FOSTER. MARY died April 29, 1882 at 79 years of age.

284 v. ELIZABETH ALLEN (#6544) was born before August 3, 1801. She married twice. She married UNKNOWN JONES. (UNKNOWN JONES is #6545.) She married DANIEL GRIFFITH 1829. (DANIEL GRIFFITH is #6546.) (Dan Trimble)
