282. SUSAN⁶ PORTER (MARY JANE POLK⁵ WHITTINGTON, WILLIAM⁴, SOUTHY³, WILLIAM², WILLIAM¹) (#1275) was born in Somerset Co MD August 13, 1806. SUSAN died November 11, 1883 in Somerset Co VA, at 77 years of age.

She married BENJAMIN LANKFORD in Somerset Co MD, June 22, 1822. (BENJAMIN LANKFORD is #1307.) BENJAMIN was born 1798. BENJAMIN was the son of BENJAMIN LANKFORD and SARAH ARCHABEL SMITH. BENJAMIN died 1886 in Somerset Co MD, at 88 years of age. Benjamin was a member of the Maryland Senate in 1861 when it was locked up to prevent the state's legislature from passing the Ordinance of Secession. (C. Hayward Marshall & William Marshall Scott)

408 v. MARY MARTHA LANKFORD (#1323) was born 1829. MARY died 1918 at 89 years of age. She married ROBERT MILES. (ROBERT MILES is #1324.)

409 vi. SARAH ANN LANKFORD (#1320) was born 1830. SARAH died 1898 at 68 years of age. She married SAMUEL G. MILES. (SAMUEL G. MILES is #1321.)

410 vii. CHARLES ANTHONY LANKFORD (#1322) was born 1836. CHARLES died 1862 at 26 years of age.

411 viii. SUSAN FRANCES LANKFORD (#1325) was born January 11, 1842. She married THOMAS W. TAYLOR. (THOMAS W. TAYLOR is #1326.)
