155. James⁶ Rogers (Daniel⁵, Mary⁴ Marshall, Thomas³, Thomas², John¹) birth date unknown. James died 1770 in Accomack Co., VA. Will dated October 7, 1769, probate February 27, 1770. (Stratton Nottingham, Wills & Administrations of Accomack Co. VA, p. 249)

He married Patience Rowles. Patience was the daughter of John Rowles and Tabitha Lecatt. Patience died 1795. He directed that 100 acres where Laben Belote lived be sold for payment of debts. The balance of the estate was to go to his wife until his sons Daniel and John Rodgers came of age and then be divided between wife Patience, sons Daniel & John Rodgers, John Rodgers, Casandrah Rodgers and Elizabeth Rogers. Zerrobabel Rodgers was appointed guardian to Daniel Rodgers, heir at law to the testator.

James Rogers and Patience Rowles had the following children:

351 i. John⁷ Rogers. John died before 1804.

352 ii. Casandrah Rogers. Casandrah died after 1770.

353 iii. Elizabeth Rogers. Elizabeth died after 1770.

+ 354 iv. Daniel Rogers(Gov.) was born 1754.
